If you were to ask me how I became a funeral celebrant, the story is a slightly unexpected one. In 2015 I started my career as an enthusiastic Church Minister, but to my then reluctance, a part of that role meant taking funerals from time to time. As a young 25 year old minister, the prospect of being entrusted with such an important task of conducting a burial or a cremation service was a daunting one, and it led me to taking much needed advice from seasoned Ministers in the area in my early years. However, much to my initial surprise, I found conducting funeral services to be one of the most rewarding, and fulfilling parts of my role.
Over the last 10 years, I have found these moments to be an enormous privilege and honour, and always found that these times where we pause, reflect, celebrate and grieve in our love, to be very special and powerful.
Over the years, as I found myself taking funerals of all kinds and varities, in a variety of locations and circumstances, with a variety of people, in Welsh and in English, I found the common thread of seeing the immense value of these moments, where we draw together as one, to honour a loved one's life in gratitude, as well as in grief.
It would be my honour to do the same for you and your family, to walk with you as your guide through this moment, where we celebrate your loved one and their life.
I live in Pontyberem with my beautiful wife and two wonderful sons. A Welshman at heart, I have a love for history, nature and good food.
